HELP, my RMB-1075 is dead 8-(

A few days ago the power at my home just went off, back on in a few seconds, then off and on like three or four more times in just a couple of minutes. After that my RMB-1075 became short circuited I had to turn the power from the amp off since I had it activated by the 12V trigger because after the power stabilized at my home the power amp was turning on an off intermittently.

I had a technician take a look at my amp and it seems the main problem is the toroidal transformer and it has to be replaced, my question is how can I buy a new one? Do you know where can I order one? it would have to be shipped to Guadalajara, Mexico since that's where I live.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Poor you....sooooo...sad!!. Very unfortunate to say the least!. Did you have it hooked up to a spike protector?. Anytime a storm or some kind of electrical disruption happens, I immediately throw the main power switch off on the back of my Rotel and disconnect the power cord.

I would contact Rotel directly about getting a new transformer if the technician you have can install it for you. If not, you can always send it back to Rotel and have them repair it.

I actually had it hook up to the RLC-1040. It was strange because the fuse didn't blow up, and the protection circuit was somehow bypassed. I'm definitely going to contact Rotel.

Humming from the power transformer JC-1
            by Kasper
One of my JC-1 have a humming from the power transformer. When I go from 10watt to 25watt the humming increase a little more. I can hear the humming
            1 1/2 meter (60 inchs) from the JC-1.
The other JC-1 is 100% silent. Is this normal with some humming, or shall the transformer be 100%...

            by Allan
I've a RMB1095 amp that pops through the speakers (all) during both power up/off. I've tried cleaning all earth pins on the cables and are at a loss.

I've visited the Rotel internet site looking for an email address to email Rotel to see if they cant shed some light, but they dont seem...

133v out of balanced power transformer?!?
            by Eric S
            Hey Guys,

As my basement theater is coming closer to completion, I need to build a power filter/sequencer for all of my gear. So now I've got a box, a bunch of EMI/RFI filters, a pile of heavy duty relays, and some delay timer circuits from Apogee.

            The sequencer will have...

Can I get the benefits of balanced power with a pair of these transformers?
            by cdwitmer
I have located a supply of cheap 2kVA transformers that have single 100V primaries and dual (bifilar wound) 24V secondaries. (Each of the secondaries is indicated as 42A.) I know I could tie two of these back-to-back to create a 1:1 2kVA isolation transformer, but I am wondering if there is a way I...
