    RB-1090 bias setting

I understand that Rotel recommends a bias setting of 5mv across TP1,2 for rotel rb-1090. Mine is the all black color amp. Can someone tell me whether the silver and black version has the bias tweak differently by rotel? If so what are the values? thanks.

There's no reason for it to hae different biases, the color is only a plastic front cover... that's it. Now the older vs. newer models that have different binding posts *might*. But basically it's all to be the same.

      Amp Bias?
      by clarkbox
Can anyone tell me more about my amps bias? I have the Rotel RB-1080.

When i asked the dealer what causes one side/channel to become hotter than the opposite, he said it was likely due to the bias setting found under the covers.

The left side of this amp stays mildly warm,...

Rotel RB1070 vs Rotel RB1090 review
      by Joey_V
I'm going to write a little bit about these 2 Rotel amps from my experience with both in my system at the same time.

      Setup:
      SqueezeBox3 -> Rotel RC1070 preamp -> Rotel RB1070/Rotel RB1090 -> Martin Logan Summits -> Joey's ears

      Build:
      The 1070 is...

      JC1 bias setting
      by Aubi
Is it difficult to adjust the bias setting on my JC1's? Well I know how to adjust it, but how is it done correctly?
The reason I want to know this, is that one of them is a bit warmer in low position than the other, and it seems to me as a good idea to check this out since they are few years...

Does anybody know what's the proper bias voltage for the RB-993 amp? Might somebody even have a service manual on pdf?

      Thanks in advance.

Heard the RB1090 and RB1091 side by side...
      by Joey_V
Today, I just got back from hearing the 1090 and 1091/1092 amps duke it out with the BW802D... side by side. I must say, I preferred the RB1090 by a good margin. I thought that the 1090 took better control of the 802D in ALL aspects, from the bass to the diamond tweeter. The 1090 had greater stage...
