Should I buy RSX-1560 or wait for an upgrate?

Just wondering when is the big upgrate comming, I still have my 1057 with 1080 for front, but. thinking of upgrating soon and wondering when will they change them?, thanks for any info.

Rotel does not change their lines as frequently as others.. Since the 15xx series is less than a year old, I wouldn't expect a replacement for another 2-3 years.. It was almost 5 years between the 10xx & 15xx series. Actually, it was exactly 5 years to the month between my 1067 & 1560.
Only thing really missing on the 1560 is auto speaker calibration & room correction.
If you can live without these, go for it.. it's an amazing receiver.

Sorry didn't mean the series, but models like 1055/ 1057/ 1058 etc., thanks.

That's exactly it.. no more 10xx components.
I would assume that the new version of the 1057 is the 1550. The new version of the 1067 is the 1560.
The new version of the 1080 is the 1582 or if you want a class D amp, the 1572.

I have the 1560 & 1572 driving y Martin Logans.

I think he means when will then 1561 come out. Answer is we don't know. Aside from HDMI 1.4 with 3D, nothing has really changed.

The 1590 (1098 replacement) got delayed because of 1.4, so if anything I would look for a high-end pre/pro at CES in January, and then 1550/60/70 replacements at Cedia next year (2011).

Just saw a sale in Toronto for the 1560 at $2100.. that's almost $600 less than what I paid a year ago.

I'm in London, ON., but get most of my gear in Buffalo, NY. I can get new one for little more than 2100. with full warranty. I'm just wondering when they will make the change and buy it than. I would never pay for 1 year old 2100., I think that too much,

Do you think there is any chance of Rotel offering an HDMI 1.3 - 1.4 upgrade for the 15 series? Seems like such a small change to have to wait for the next models., yet if I were purchasing a pre-pro right now I'd like to have at least the option of the latest spec.
