Need to burn in 3 sets of Interconnects. How would I go about using the Tape in and out on the 1069 preamp to achieve this.I am thinking of using cdp to tape input. Then tape output to what? Then to amp.Do I need another preamp or receiver in the mix?I have a receiver I am not using but it does not have preouts.Any help appreciated.Thanks.

1st cable: CD player to tape in
Set zone2 to full volume (fixed) and select tape for the input
2nd cable: zone2 out to an open input(video 5, tuner, etc)
Set zone3 to full volume and select the above input you ran zone2 to.
3rd cable: zone3 out to an open input(video 5, tuner, etc)
Set zone4 to a comfortable volume and select the above input you ran zone3 to.
Run an additional cable from zone4 output to your receiver/amp. That should put a full voltage signal on all of your IC's for burn-in.
That should let you turn the main zone on/off without affecting anything.
Set the CD to repeat and have fun.

Kevin...Well that did not work. All I got from the speakers was a mess of distorted music.I hooked everything up the way you suggested and checked everything numerous times. It must be that the IC's are Mit with the network boxes on them. That is the only thing I can think of or it is something with the 1069.
In theory it should work but did not for me.That was a wasted couple of hours but... hey nothing ventured nothing gained.
So I am going back to the way I planned.I am using one set from a cdp to receiver. My question here is do I need to turn the volume up or can I keep it low as there is a full signal going from cdp to receiver?
My second set is going from a second cdp to 1069 and third set is going from 1069 to amp.It is a lot of things running at once but I have been told not to daisy chain with rca barrels (may be why it wont work with all of them set up the way you suggested).I have the set that is running to the receiver at just a very low audible volume where I have to put my ear to the speakers to hear.
Unfortunately I can not do that with the other two sets as the set from the 1069 to amp needs juice. So I am listening to a lot of music .Thanks for the suggestion and wish it had of worked.- Bottom

It may have been over driving the signal. You could try again with the volumes set to 75 or so.
As far as low vs high volume, couldn't tell you. If burn-in is true, I would imagine you would want a full pink noise signal running through it.

by Bob_CollinsOk guys, I have a question to pose. Are there any Home Theater receivers or processors out that include the venerable, old “tape loop” function? I’m referring to the ability on older stereo equipment to select a source for recording out to the tape outputs, but still allow you to choose to listen...-

I have a 1055 and have a second zone set up. I have a xantech touchpad in that zone which controls the zone2 function of the 1055. I would like to be able to turn the zone2 on or off from a touchpad in the main room (that touchpad controls the main system).
The only way...-

by eddygHi,
I'm still having issues with my Zone 2. My setup has the 1098 and source equipment at the back of the front room, I use a xantech IR relay network to connect them all to an IR receiver at the front of the front room. The same IR network also connects to the other rooms in the house....-
