    Replacement Fuses for RB-980BX Amp

    Hello All,

As a new member, thought I would make my first post after checking the archives. I want to replace my fuses in my older RB-980BX power amp. Does anyone know the values of all five (5) fuses?? If so, I would really appreciate the help. I have checked online and cannot even find a service manual to purchase, only lots of User Manuals (which of course I have).

Thanx in advance for your help.

    Hey Husker!

    Welcome to the Forum.

I Just sold a 980, I had since '94, but cant remember the fuse rating, though I had changed them a few times. Have you looked at the fuses that are currently in it?

You can find replacements at you local ratshack or from Parts Express (one of the sponsors of our site).

Hopefully one of or other members has a 980 and can verify the value for us.

Thanks to all who looked at my thread. I contacted Rotel and they sent me a link for what appears to be a complete list of equipment and fuse compliment for each. I thought I would share with all.

          RB-991 keeps blowing main fuse
          by kingwilliam
          Hi all...

The problem: My RB-991 blew its main 12-amp fuse the other day (the fuse you can easily change from the back). I tried 10-amp fuses, but blew three in a row. No other components or speakers were hooked up to the amp. I unplugged the amp from the wall before swapping fuses....

          RB-1095 fuse change
          by tomasito
          Hello,
Has anyone changed the fuse in a RB-1095.
I don't get audio coming out of the rear channe, I think one of the fuses is blown. I opened the 1095 and the fuses are buried way in the PCB.

I experienced this with the 1080, It was a blown fuse. The fuses in the RB-1080...

          JC-1 owners. Help!
          by shuang
I have a pair of JC-1 monoblocks (powering my main loudspeakers) which I purchased from a friend. They are hooked up to a Conrad-Johnson 17LS tube preamplifier. I am using the single-ended RCA inputs.

I accidentally disconnected the preamplifier power cable with the preamplifier and power...

          Help.

I think I have a blown fuse in my RC1090 preamp. I took of the cover and saw that the fuse had a clear cover over it with a warning do not remove unless a trained tech. I suppose the warning is because of the power supply, but by just looking at the fuse it looks broken. Its a very...

          Newbie w/blown rb980bx
          by jtcalho
AS i stated in the title my 980bx is out of commision. I blame my wife, because she didn't mention anything until i confronted her. ANY way, what i thought was going to be a simple fuse replacement in order to get my amp back up and running, it was not. After purchasing another fuse and installing,...
