After having set up my new "toys" (Rotel RSX-1550 receiver, and B&W CM9 pair, and a Panasonic 50" Plasma) last week. I am wondering if there's a way to have the internal speakers of the Panaconic Plasma be the "Center" channel, and the CM9's be true Left and rights.
As of now, the Rotel is downmixing all incoming audio for 2CH sound (which is fine, it sounds great and that's what I was intending), but if I could use the television panel's speakers as the center, that would be a bonus).
The Plasma is a TC-P50G15, and it has RCA audio inputs.
Would I need to tell the Rotel Receiver I have a Center Channel speaker (small), and plug a split RCA cable from the center Pre Out on the back of the receiver and into the Center / audio in of the panasonic?
Thanks!
Sal
P.S. I'd just like to know if this was possible. I'd rather spring for a center later this year than relegate center channel sound to the crappy Panasonic speakers.
