    Dilemma 1550 or 1560

    Hi Everyone,

    I have a real Dilema. I currently own the 1550 but can get the 1560 for $800 more. The question is does the amp is the 1560 sound that much better to spend the extra money.

    Please let me know your thoughts if you have heard both.

      For sure the 1560 is a native 7.1 and fully featured. But one thing to keep in mind is that the 1560 is a class D device compared to a class A/B for the 1550.

      This can make a huge difference for some.

          I'm demoing a RSX-1550 (class a/b) vs a RSX 1560 (class d). Speakers are Era Design 14s. What I've come to decide is that the class d amp has more power (duh) and is more precise or detailed perhaps? However, when i'm listening to the 1560, I feel like it's obvious that I'm listening through speakers....
