Rotel with Arcam

I am looking at an Arcam DV 78 to use with my Rotel 1068 and 1057. Has anyone have any experence with Arcam?

I've been using an Arcam CD player with my Rotel equipment for over a decade. I love the sound of the Arcam players. It mates very well with my current system - 1069/1075.

I used a Arcam CD73 with a Rotel RSP-1098 for a few years with great results. I agree with chanlon and love the sound of Arcam Players. I think you should find it to be a very nice combination.

CD192, DV89 into 1098. I a/b'd Arcam to Rotel cdps back and fourth and easily prefer the Arcams. Very smooth, detailed. Rotels were detailed, but very bright/too crisp sounding.

Interesting. I guess that different people hear different things. I found the Rotel CD player to be flat and boring. Very clean and very clear but with out the dynamics and the high frequency transparency of the Arcam.

Very interesting. You guys are talking about analog connection, right ? Do you also hear a difference with digital connection ? Thanks !

I'm talking about analog connections.

You would think two different players would sound very similar using digital interconnects since they are both acting as transports. However, not all transports are created equal.

I have used an Arcam CD72t with my RSP 1066 and RMB 1075 for a few years now and have always enjoyed the sound. I even tried my DV78 with it for cd replay for a time and found that to be extremely good aswell.

However, Im looking at upgrading to the Arcam FMJ CD36, does anybody have any experience with this CD player and Rotel processors/amps?
