    Has anyone compared the 1075 to the 1085?

    I want to upgrade my amp to my surround speakers and I have been eyeing the 1075. I haven't demo'd it in my system yet, so I am unsure what kind of difference it will make. I was looking online, (forgive me, but I don't really follow Rotel) and noticed that they now have the 1085. I was wondering if anyone has compared these 2 amps?

    They will be powering a pair of B&W NSCM1's. I will eventually add a second pair for 7.1, but it will only be the 2 for the time being.

    Since these 2 amps are close in price, what are the thoughts/ opinions of the rotel fans here?
    I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

      I haven't compared the 2, but the 1075 is a doozie. I had sold one before, and recently bought another.
      I see a local retailer pushing them out at $599. To me thats a steal for a workhorse with showhorse sonics.

          I've been wondering the same thing. I've currently got the RMB-1075 and love it, so I'm hesitant to give it up. However, the new Class D amps seem very promising, and would definitely free up some space in my rack. I've considered getting an RMB-1085 and doing some comparisons, but it will have to wait until after the holidays.

              Damn, 599 brand new??? I would buy one just to have it. Even if I never plugged it in, thats a stupid killer deal for a great amp. Nice....

                      I am allmost tempted to drive into MPLS and check it out, as they are listing the 1068 for under $999, and the 1098 for $1199.
                      I should have printed the page and driven to MPLS this morning after seeing the stores web page.
                      I just went out there, was going to provide a link (for any interested Minnesotans), and now see they have "fixed" the page.
                      The 1098 has been removed, the 1068 is still $999, and the 1075 is $799.
                      Hopefully someone got lucky, caught the adds, and forced the issue with them, and thats why the page has changed from this morning.
