Current owner of Rotel rcd 1072 and Rotel ra 1062.
Living in North America (Canada), there are a few things I'd like to see changed. Firstly as for integrated amps. I don't see why rotel uses 2 set of speaker binding posts (a+b), How many people really use them both? I don't and would rather see either the savings of having just one set along with the better sound from less internal "baggage".
As for the contour button, I like it but why not have an option of bass boost of say at 60hz 80 or 100. I'd personally prefer to have a bass boost at lower levels (especially since I have monitor speakers and no sub)
Also why are there two tape inputs? again does anyone actually make use of both? Would just having an additional aux not be better? or a sub out or another pre out?
Is the "record" knob really necessary? again does this just not add to the increase of unesessary internal "baggage"
If some of the unnecessary features mentioned above were eliminated and a boost to the rating (1062 is 60 watts) to 100 and a couple of improvements inside, the cost could stay the same with improvements to sound which would make a very good int. amp into an int. amp that would be an absolute gem!!
As for cd player I'd just like to see the hdcd eliminated with upgrade to the d/a converter and op amps.
Thanks
Lu
