IMHO, 30 to 60 minutes should be sufficient for the majority of SS equipment.
AFA leaving your equipment 'ON', It is not the 'green' thing to do.
Personally, I typically power everything up but listen to the news on the radio in the evenings after work for about 30 ~ 60 minutes on most occasions, so even my tube pre is ready when I settle in for some 'serious’ listening.- Bottom

I notice my 1095/1080 sounds better after about 15 minutes. But anywhere from 15 - 60 minutes and it should be at normal running temp and sound as good as it's going to.
Turn it on, watch a little TV or something and just enjoy until you get it warmed up and THEN do some critical listening!Digital Audio makes me Happy.

Thanks .Contacted Rotel with the same question and their answer was ...you can leave it on or off,and warm up time is 10 to 15 minuets.I find 30 to 60 minuets better and since that is what you guys are doing then guess I am on the right track.Thanks.- Bottom

Warm up time--good idea
I have a Rotel 1090 and it uses .5 amps or 60 watts when powered up, Like having a 60 watt bulb on. I warm it up also. I would be hard pressed to hear any improvement after 15 minutes. Having said that, I keep my CD/SACD player on "ALL", the time. It takes a long time to get its best ifturned offI'm talking days for mine. Strangely the CD/SACD uses 72 watts when powered up. But it's brutal when it's powered off for several hours.- Bottom

Read somewhere that 200 watts is sufficient for most listeners unless you what to blow your brains out. Now based on experience how different will the 1090 sound with its extra wattage given my configuration above?
How will...-

by hired goonG'day,
I've currently got an RMB-1095 5x200w amp, about 2 weeks old. For a few hundred dollars, I can trade this in to get 3 x RB-1080 2x200w amps.
I'm wondering about the advantages and disadvantages of such a move.
This is what I've come up with:
