HI, could anyone tell me what a fair price would be for my RSP 1066. I realize it's an older model but it is basically new. This unit was bought new 5 years ago from canadian sound. It has less than 10 hours use. It's been stored in the original packaging for the past 57 months. This unit is in MINT NEW CONDITION. Thanks.

Well one sold on Ebay for $350 recently. Is it silver or black? Silver usually brings a little more. The one on Ebay had a pretty bad auction page and did sell Buy-it-now, so $400-$450 isn't out of the question at all. Do you have both the original box and the double-box? All factor in to what someone might pay.
Unfortunately, unless you are pretty careless, a unit in the box for 57 months versus one used for 57 months won't look much different. Especially if you used a universal remote. In fact, for me, only having 10 hours on it would scare me more then help. Most electronics I've installed usually has a problem in the first week of use, but works fine the first day (or works for years).

Thats about What I was thinking for a price, considering my unit is MINT and has all original cartons (double boxed), manuals, even the remote has a box. I used the unit for about a month along with my RMB 1095, packed it up and stored it for personal reasons. I just started getting back into everything recently. I just picked up an RB 1090 to complete my 7.1 which Im excited about, and would like to upgrade to the RSP 1098. But I am NOT going to sell this unit for 400.00 like I was asked yesterday. If I have to I will just upgrade to the 1098 and keep the 1066 in my rack as an expensive decoration. Thanks for your info.Originally posted by RotelligenceThese are going for $700-750 on audiogon. People(including myself) love the rsp-1066. If you put it on audiogon, somebody will snatch it up. Give it a couple weeks then put it on ebay where it is guaranteed to sell within a week.
good luck!- Bottom

AFAIK, the 1068 has better bass management and better pre-amp performance in 2-ch mode.
I have had the 1066 (bought used on Agon ~ a year and half ago for $700 - no regrets) but I use a different/better pre-amp for 2-ch listening.- Bottom

by LEVESQUEI don't know why but we don't see much talk about this pre-pro anymore, so I've decide to post a "mini-review", because it's a direct comparaison between an almost top of the line receiver and a dedicated pre-pro. I see alot of post on this "hot subject": good receiver or real pre-pro,...-

by caseyconnectundefinedundefinedI am looking to upgrade my processing at home. I own a AC-3 RSP-970 by Rotel and have enjoyed it for years. I have a Toshiba DVD the decodes DD/DTS. I purchased many years ago at the beginning of DD home theatre.
I am going to spend less that $1000.00 but would love...-

by Hap CThanks to all who contribute to this forum, as you have helped to steer me in what I think is the right direction. I've been lurking for quite a while, and have learned a lot. I've also been looking at components off and on for 6 months to upgrade from a Denon AVR-3300, and finally ordered the Rotel...-

by RayBI am new member, but have been reading Club Rotel posts for about 6 months and I was convinced to purchase 1066 and 1075 combo last November. Thank you for all of your help.
I have opportunity to trade up what I paid for 1066 towards a 1068. It seems difficult to justify the upgrade....-

by DrJRappA few months ago I read posts about popping noises from the RSP1066. I didn't pay too much attention to the threads, or the solution until MY 1066 started popping this weekend whenever the input changes modes from PLII to DD. This happens with both DVD input and SAT TV. My 1066 has firmware version...-
