- Added Pro Logic icon for 6.1/7.1 Dolby modes

- Fixed a bug that caused audio dropouts from digital sources when controlling
volume via RS232.

- Fixed some minor tuner display errors (RSX-1067 only).

- Improved memory backup software.

Hello,

A dealer told me that you should not upgrade firmware until you really got a real problem using the processor in your specific configuration.

Any comments on that ?

The old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" line. Look at the list above and you'll see the fixes with each release. An issue might not effect you today, but it might in the future - IMO its better to be up to date rather than confused why something doesn't work as expected when you come to use it. The update procedure is not hard, and the RS232 cable is even supplied in the box.

How do I find the version currently loaded into my 1068? I know I checked a year ago and it was current, but can't remember how. I have the RS-232 cable, but have never had occasion to use it.

Hold down MUTE (on remote or front panel) for 3-5 seconds.
