Rcc 1055 or Rcd 1072?

    Rcc 1055 or Rcd 1072?

    Hello All,

    I looking for a CD player to complete my system. The 1055 is a few $$ cheaper than the 1072. Is there a difference in the sound?

      I could not hear an appreciable difference. I chose the RCC-1055. Some of the recent ones have had transport problems. be sure and not get a recent 'newer' one.

          This unit was purchased in 2002. When did the transport problems begin?

              Last year, early this year. You should be fine with that used one. The new ones with the redesigned trasnport will play MP3 CD's, if that's important to you.

                      Rotel seems to have quite a few CD player and I'm having a hard time understanding the difference between them.

                      Is there a difference between the RCC-1055 and the RCD-1072 (except for the fact that RCC is a 5 disk changer)? I mean is there a difference in quality?

                      I have read various reviews from america and the UK on the above mentioned players. Many love the rcd 1072 a few dont, but some that don't like the rcd-02 better. Has anyone compared the 1072 directly to the 02?
                      I am also considering a moded musical hall, want to buy asap to go with my new speakers....

                      Rotel 1072 ok as transport for Classe ssp-300 and 3200??

                      I just came across a smokin' deal on a Classe ssp-300 processor and 3200 amp ... all brand new. Will the Rotel 1072 cd serve as a decent cd transport while processing throught the classe? Or should I use the 1072 dacs?

                      Does anyone know if there is much difference between these 2 units?
                      with the release of the 1072 there may be some good deals to be had with the 1070. On the flipside , if the 1072 is better the $$ may not count.
