RMB1072, not a good write up in UK press

    RMB1072, not a good write up in UK press

    I was filling in time at Borders yesterday, of course not able to buy anything because of the bloody queue to buy Harry Potter.

    Anyway, I browsed through one of the English mags, I forget which one now, might have been What Hifi, but not sure. It had a review of the new Rotel pre and power combo, the 1082pre I think and the 1072 class D amp.

    Seems it was the preamp that was the star and that the 1072 power amp was a bit of a disappointment, being too dry. I should have paid more attention but that was the basic summary.

    Anyone heard the 1072? I assume its just the 2 channel version of the 1077 that I have.

      Too dry, yeh right. Undoubtedly the same English mag that praised the 7 channel version of the same amp, which has the same components. :roll:

          Could some one post picture of black RCD-1072, when it turned on, to see power led color. I'm now at then dilemma, to order it in black (local dealer does not have them in stock, but is orderable), or take silver version. Write now I have RC-03 and RB-03 (one more coming) in black...

          the "old" cd player 1072 is a good player but is a "only" a very standart player?, not much more as one player they can dvd-cd read?
