    One week into new system.

These pieces have been discussed frequently here, but for new or potential new users, here is my experience:

I was running HT with a Yamaha RX-V2600 and Klipsch RF-7 mains, etc (see sig line). I had volume but a "thinnish" sound. Help from here and from the Klipsch forum convinced me that the Rotel RB-1080 was a better match....tried it out; followed up some other ideas and ended up here:
    RSP-1068 pre/pro
RB-1080 for mains and 2 channel listening
    RMB-1075 for surround, center, back.

This combo gives me a nice "hybrid system". It produces excellent 2 channel sound (I'm more music oriented) and gives my HT a kick up in quality.

    Comments:
    1) Klipsch RF-7 required nothing less than the RB-1080. Beautiful, full sound and imaging top to bottom. Yammi couldn't touch it.
    2) 2 channel sounds great as it did before. The 1068 produces more detail and, again, imaging is better than before.
    3) HDMI?...I just go direct to screen. I think it's way too early to get serious about this market and all of my old CDs and DVDs are great NOW!
    4) HT is notably better, but since I installed the 1075 and 1068 at the same time, I can't tell where the better benefit comes from, but likely the combination.
    5) Make no mistake, the Yamaha was good. I've spent more $$ so I should expect better...but this outcome is Hughly better!
    6) In spite of a great product, the Yamaha had an "edgy" sound in the high end/loud with Klipsch. The Rotel is a much better match. It's like I have a new set of speakers. Smoother, more laid back, even more detail which surprised me because I was impressed with the Yamaha.
    7) paid attention to connectors...used all new 'blue jeans' connections and replaced all my old speaker wire.

Good luck, if you're traveling this road. There certainly are more 'bells and whistles' and more amps to be bought but for $$ spent I can't recommend this set-up more for pure listening enjoyment.

I remember when I went upgraded to the 1068/1075 from a Denon 3806 and the audio bliss it brought me. I still highly recommend Denon to friends since they are not into the hobby like myself but if the budget allows I always urge giving the 1068 an audition. Unless you buy from an online company (outlaw, emotiva) I think the 1068 is the best deal out there for a pre/pro.

Not only is great sounding but also looks great.

AVR for Klipsch RF 82 II, advice needed
        by Klipscher
Hi, fellow HTers....I'm getting a Klipsch RF 82 II 5.0 soon, now I'm in a dilemma choosing an AVR to drive the speakers.

I can get a Yamaha RX-A1030 at the same price as Pioneer LX-57. The pioneer is pack with features compare to the Yamaha. But reading reviews online i'm worry to pair...
