    Price increase on the horizon????

Hello Rotel Club Members. I am planning a purchse for this summer (RMB-1095 and RLC-1040). I emailed Rotel for the current price list which is dated Feb 07. I heard a RUMOR that prices could go up this summer primarily due to the rising cost of copper. If prices are going to go up I will definitely find a way to "pull the trigger" early in hopes of saving some cash. Anybody know anything regarding the possibility/likelihood of a price increase?

    Thanks, resperc

The RMB-1095 is the only one I've heard, and it will be a pretty substantial increase (25% in the US I know). Applies in June I believe.

Kevin is right. The price increase in only on the RMB-1095 (it going to $2499.00 US from $1999.00) and it's happening in June. The price is changing because of the amount of copper in the transformer and shipping costs.

Interesting that the rmb-1077 is also $2500. I wonder if this copper thing even though it is up in price is being used to get the 1095's price up to that of the 1077 perhaps to support/justify it's price.

          oooooh, a conspiracy theory!
Nope, I believe their excuse - the 1077 doesn't use kilo's of copper. Switch mode is the future: its small and light!

There is a lot of value in that in my opinion. some people feel it performs better then the 1095 give or take a little, but the fact that its small and does get to hot is extreemly valuable to some who work in small spaces.

speaking from experience on this one :T

What a great resource this forum is. I have been reading for several weeks and would like to get pointers to tweak my system. I will be purchasing this system when the new LG 1080p DLP Rear Projection unit comes out (proposed June 2005). Until then I will be finalizing my components and cable requirements....

              by carlsen
I've just assembled a system, consisting of using a denon 3805, running preouts to an rb1090 and a rmb1095 ( unbalanced).

I am only getting weak sound out of the main right and left front but nothing out of the other five speakers which are connected to the Rmb1095.

              I read...

A friend is looking for the RMB1095. He found one from a guy closer to where I leave and he asked me to go check it out. I had the same amp before and I know there were 2 versions. Most obvious difference being the binding posts, 12v trigger and that MKII was available in black or silver and black....
