Output signal on RDV-1092 with DVD-audio

    Hi,

I owned a RDV-1092 and I want to play a DVD-audio ( 2 ch 24/192) disc. is the output on the L and R via the stereo output connectors the same as the the output L and R via the 5.1 output connector.

    Thanks,
    Gert-Jan

It might depend on the player (I don't have the 1092), but usually the separate 2-channel connection is a 'down-mixed' option, for connecting to a 2-channel pre-pre. I would just go with the L/R of the 5.1 outputs for DVD-A.

I own the rdv 1060 and RSX 1056, and if I use a 2 channel DVD_A, in the bypass mode I don't find any differences between the two connexions (two loudspeakers only).

      You might find differences:

If using a subwoofer, it won't work in the stereo bypass mode but it will in the ext output (5.1)

If you select the stereo (without bypass) you are using the DAC's from the receiver. If you choose EXT the DAC's used are from the 1092. (I agree with Blindamood, I prefer the second option too).

      Regards

        Restarting RDV1092
        by Wardo
Has anyone had to re-start there RDV1092? I am having to do this on a regualar basis, it seems to lock-up fairly easily. Sometimes I don't know why it locks up and other times it will lock up from a series of commands sent to quickly.
        Anyone??

        SSP-300 bypass / sound modes
        by weijst
Recently I contacted Classe to ask about a 'source direct' or 'bypass' mode on the SSP-300. I was informed that the 7.1CH analog inputs are the SSP-300’s only bypass inputs and if these were used by for instance a blu-ray player I could no longer bypass other input signals.

        I'm planning...

        Hello all.

I have an Arcam rDac at home connected to my Rotel 1570/1077 combo.
Connected to the Arcam via toslink is an Apple TV 1st generation. The analog output of the Arcam is connected to the Rotel input via RCA cables.

        Now for my questions....
