I've been using an RTC-965/RB-981 is a second system for several months and it has been working great. Overnight I seem to have lost my digital inputs and I don't seem to be able to get into the menus. Is there some key sequence that will reset the unit to factory defaults?

According to the manual, the digital inputs can't be reassigned to other inputs so I doubt anything in the menu would help.Originally posted by BluespowerI've been using an RTC-965/RB-981 is a second system for several months and it has been working great. Couldn't find a way to reset the receiver, but if the remote isn't operating the menu commands correctly, you can reset the remote:
Programming the RR-939
The RR-939 is programmed from the factory to operate the RTC-
965. Should the AUDIO command set on your RR-939 not operate
the RTC-965, it’s possible that the programming has been inadvertently
changed. To reprogram the remote to operate the RTC-965
(Audio Code = 001):
1. Press the AUDIO button at the top of the remote while simultaneously
pressing the MUTE button and hold both for at least one
second. The AUDIO button will light in red for 20 seconds, indicating
that you have entered the program mode. The next step must
be done within this 20 second period, or the RR-939 will revert to
its standard operating mode.
2. Use the NUMERIC buttons to enter the 3-digit code (001) for the
RTC-965 – press 0, then 0, then 1. The AUDIO button will flash
each time you enter a digit.
3. Store the code number by pressing the corresponding AUDIO
button again. The button will blink twice to confirm the storage of
the code in memory.- Bottom

I appreciate the reply. I read and re-read the manual several times yesterday and (as you stated) was unable to find anything like "input reassignment". Today I'll tear down the system and see what I can learn.
All of the analog connections are working fine but the two digital connections seem dead. The menus on the pre do not respond from either the front panel or the remote.
I guess I was hoping for a magic bullet when I asked about a system reset.Bluespower- Bottom

I may give that a try. For the interum I put an old stand alone DAC (AMC DAC8) I had back in the mix. This system is in my office where I keep my TT/LPs but I do have a music server that it is nice to be able to pull into play.
I did send an email to Rotel Tech Support to see if they have any suggestions. Thanks for your input...Bluespower- Bottom

by smm735I recently got a hand-me-down RSX-1057 from my father along with an RR-1060 remote but I am unable to control the RSX-1057 with the RR-1060. Both units were unused (and unpowered) for a couple of years before I started playing with them yesterday.
Before anyone posts it, yes I have...-

by rkburtonI have finally started setting everything up but am having problems with the remote for the C2.
I purchased the C2 from a fellow member, managed to not screw things up with the update, and so far managed to hook everything up correctly.
Front panel works flawlessly. (Unit is fabulous so...-

by Club1820I know that you can reset the remote to factory default. But does this apply for all of the inputs at once or can it be input specific?
I would like to only reset it for Video 3.
Thanks in advance.-

by bniemanJust yesterday my RR-1050 remote for my RSP-1068 started acting up.
When editing a label for a function on the remote, various characters on the remote display will cause other items to appear faintly (like the learn and edit icons) or faint lines through the main characters to appear...-
