G & W AC LINE CONDITIONER

I purchased a G & W AC line conditioner on ebay for around £80 inc pop.
There are two sockets marked unfiltered, and the remaining are.
I am confused about this as new to using mains conditioner with hi fi.
Should I be using the un filtered sockets for my power amp and cd player ( The pre amp is passive )

Are any marked high-current? If so that's where I would plug my amp in. A lot of filtering techniques can reduce the amount of current available, current an amplifier needs. That's most likely why they have unfiltered plugs, many conditioners tell you to just leave the amps plugged into the wall.

Have put the the two power amp plugs in to the unfiltered sockets and will see how it goes. The objective of using the conditioner is to clean up mains current/ noise and supply good current etc. so would not connect straight to wall.

Do you have noisy AC?

There are times when it can sound so. I live in West London so you can imagine the drain on electricity etc.

There are many reasons for perceiving some transient sound deterioration. I am guessing you have not actually measured the AC and/or correlated the observations.
