Rotel class D amps? Compare to other ICEpower amps?

    Hi all,

I just found out (yes I am a bit slow) that rotel is also jumping on the ICEpower amps with its class D products. Does anyone here have experience with these ICEpowered amps from rotel?
How does the rotel class D amps sound compared to other ICEpowered amps from brands like Bel Canto or Acoustic reality? Ofcourse there are some price tag differences. I am familiar with the tripath technology which I like for the sound but less for the power (had the t-amp hooked up to some b&W 601 which sounded quite nice), how does ICEpower compare to the tripath?

I really doubt that it would be up with a Bel Canto, but more in line with items like the Flying Mole's.

Then again, after looking around, I can say that I am disappointed with how little extra effort has gone into some of the amps using various modules by supposedly "hig end" companies.

        Well,
I've seen some sweeps of the flying mole's and a sweep of the Rowland products and a sweep of the Rotel:

the Rotel is very different than the others... it actually goes up to 20K without massive roll off...

Has anyone tried/own the Halcro Logic MCA line of class D amps yet?

There have been a few threads that compared the new digital amps with Rotel linear amps and other manufacturers. For comments on the Halcro line of digital amps, take a look over on AVSFORUM under >$20K systems.

RB-1072 Compared to other Icepower Dclass
              by WayneGrow
              Hi guys,

First time poster after lurking for a while.

I'm interested in people's opinions of this Icepower amp. RB-1072
I'm looking to add it into my ht system to give my Dynaudio mains (86db,4ohms) a bit more grunt.
As opposed to the other small icepower...

              Class d vs Class a/b amps? RSX-1550 vs RSX-1560
              by grit
I'm demoing a RSX-1550 (class a/b) vs a RSX 1560 (class d). Speakers are Era Design 14s. What I've come to decide is that the class d amp has more power (duh) and is more precise or detailed perhaps? However, when i'm listening to the 1560, I feel like it's obvious that I'm listening through speakers....

Why don't Aragon, Bryston, Rotel, Parasound, Proceed, etc make Class G amps?
              by Ricky
Does anyone beside me wonder why just about every major amp manufacturer doesn't use Class G designs in their amps? Most amps are A/B with varying bias in pure Class A. These new Outlaw/NHT 200 watt monoblocks go from A/B to G at 80 watts. So above 80 watts, you are listening to G. If Class G sounded...

              Class D
              by Supernova
I see a lot of people have the hate on for Class D amplifiers in various forums. I have been looking into nCore NC500's or Pascal's and was curious why it's such a touchy subject. I have some A/B amps and a class D amp and like them both. I've never heard a class A or tube amp. I've read somewhere the...

The ultimate small speaker - final design critique/improvement
              by bcodemz
Hi everyone. I'd like to get some feedback for a design that has been in the making for a year or so now. The goal is to design the very finest small speaker with the challenge to pack as much performance into a speaker that physically looks small, which I determined to be a wide but short speaker like...
