    Display Refresh for 1067,1068,1056/7

    Rotelians,

For those that have the 1056, 1067 or 1068, attached is a procedure to refresh the display screen. I tried it. It's easy to do and it works.

Sweet.. Makes me wonder why this hasn't been brought up before. Let us know if it works on the 1066's..

I'm starting to feel left out. I'll have to refresh mine when I get home.

                  That is excellent information HTSteve.

Do you have any refresh information for the LCD screen on the RSP-1098, LOL?

                  Peace and blessings,

                  Azeke

I had noticed some pixels were brighter than others on my RSP1068 display. This fixed the problem quickly and easily. Thanks for sharing.

There's no 'Mute' button on the front of the 1066.

Worked great on my 1068. BTW, Did anyone notice that there is a "THX" logo that lights up when the display is being refreshed?

The RSP-1066 doesn't use a dot matrix display (more sold segment type so may not be applicable), interesting if it was still relevant though.

I noticed that but didn't think anything of it TBH ... what caught my eye was the 'RDS' tag

Well, I've got an RSP-1068 that is about 1.5 years old. Tried the refresh procedure (about 3 times for different lengths of time), and I swear I'm not seeing any changes to the brightness. Last time I left it illuminated overnight, so it cannot be a time factor. Anyone else have this not work?

This doesn't make the display brighter. All it does is make less used dots as bright as the well used ones.

I understand. I can see the difference between the brighter and less bright dots, and the refresh didn't seem to do anything to 'cure' the less bright ones.

It's proceeding right now. I noticed the THX sign on my 1056 too!
