OK bam,I've waited long as I can to ask.Do you hear any "signal noise" from center or surrounds in 2 channel mode? Tell me about the noise floor?

I am truly happy.....I hear things (being my reference movie is finding Nemo...having a 2 year old)that I have never heard before....when the fish land you hear the sand under the belly and rising in the water 8O ...Processing is sweet...

I have had this baby running now for 2 days straight.....2 channel and 5 channel are already becoming transparent....

2 channel....absoluteley no hiss anywhere.....it is very quiet....



My only complaint so far....I find the pins for the audio in quite flimsy and not very solid...crumbs my Onkyo was made better than that in the back....

All and all Pictture quality...on 480...great...I am trying 1080i this weekend! and 720p...woo whooo!

That seems to be always a problem on 30cm from the speakers.

OK thanks when checking, listen to the surrounds in 5 channel mode with a cd of dvd that uses mostly the fronts and not the rears. A lot of amps seem the hiss then.

In two channel mode then dont seem the hiss on backchannels, i think they disconnect them then.

Erik,I got hissing on all channels,even when in 2 ch mode,my unit does NOT mute/disable any channels any time regardless of input.

I don`t know whether this is good news or bad news for you .....but.....in 2 channel mode...very quiet....in 5 channel stereo....not a peep....very quiet.....

Is that what you wanted me to do....

I tried with Pat. Barber...a couple of different one`s

indeed Bam thank you, however one thing i forgot to tell/ask (stupid me ops: ) But maybe you checked that already. Is the volume if you test it at, movies are listened loud, volume on 10% dont give much probloms, but my volume is always on 40% when listening movies. And then some amps produce hiss in the "silent" backchannels when on that moment no sound is being send to the backchanells in 5 ch mode.

IF you dont hear any hiss then, you have bought youself an excelent piece of hardware

Well I did the listen..........On pro logic II...5 channel stereo...2 channel....DD...DTS......and.....at Mock 3 sound....dang this thing can play.....and.....no hiss...nothing....zip...



The more this thing breaks in the more I am loving it!

Bam,you're very lucky,I've heard 5 of these units at 4 different locations and they all hiss.Some very bad and some not too bad(all according to speakers),want to sell yours?LOL, glad yours works well.

I tried Michael Bubblé`s cd this mornin`...in 2 channel pure direct....5 channel stereo...Pro Logic IIx....

Still nothing...no hiss...it is extremely quiet...unlike my continous posting on this matter!!!!
