    Rotel RX-254 Quadraphonic

    Hi,
I picked up a well appointed RX-254 recently. It seems to be in good order and I have been using it exclusively for a few weeks now........... sounds quite ok.

Its a 12W per channel and has the various decoder settings for different Quadraphonic formats. I think its about a 1976 model.

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about this receiver?

    -Jeff

You might check Rotel's site for any information - most likely in their archived files.

Most of us here have only been into Rotel since 2000 or so. The archived manuals on Rotel's site don't show anything close to it. Maybe there's a quadraphonic site out there that could shed more light.

B&W got a start after the rebuilding efforts of World War II as a radio and electronics shop. As the story goes, after supplying local schools and churches with PA equipment, John started having to repair them in the workshop in the backyard, and founded B&W Loudspeakers, Ltd in 1966.

Building Modula MT (or Natalie P?)
          by fvoelling
Well, my father-in-law is coming to town next month and can help me build the crossover, so it's time to order the parts (already have the drivers, RS180/RS28a-4).

Below is my order for the crossovers for the MT (based on philip g's post, so everything should be cool). However, not being...

I have been reading a lot lately and wanting to build a set of front speakers for the beginning of my HT setup. Well I was thinking about starting off with the Modula MTs for practice and then I could use those as surrounds later when I upgrade the fronts. But, I decided might as well go with the NatPs...

          ScanSpeak WMTMW Center Channel
          by jkleinau
Need a second opinion on this project I've been contemplating. The drivers I have selected are 2 scanspeak 22W/4534G00 woofers, 2 scanspeak 12W/4524G woofers, and 1 scanspeak D2606-9220 tweeter. The 12W woofers and the tweeter would be in a vertical MTM arrangment. Woofers will be wired in series....

This is a haunted house flick from 1976. It stars Oliver Reed, Karen Black and Bette Davis. Reed, Black, their son and aunt Bette rent an old mansion for the summer. It was a bargain at $900, but when the family's sanity starts coming apart, along with the house, they being to realize the bargain was...
