    wiring dual center speaker

I am thinking of using my old ProAc tablettes for center channel speaker, is there any advantages and disadvantages? Would there be big diffrent from dedicated center speakers?

If i am using a pair of them, how should I wire them?

I am using RSX 1056, RMB 1075, MMG, MMGW.

    Thanks

Use only one. Using more than one will result in interference off-axis which defeats the reason for a center channel.

      Wiring Question

I am wiring some dual voice coil subs, 8 ohm. I have 4 drivers and 2 amp channels. I was going to wire the speakers in series, then two together in parallel. Here is a picture from crutchfields.

      Dual Voice Coil (DVC)

A dual voice coil (DVC) design is a configuration commonly used in loudspeaker drivers, particularly subwoofers. It involves a speaker driver with two separate voice coils wound on a shared former (the cylindrical structure that holds the voice coils), each connected to its own set of terminals. Each voice coil is wound with its own wire, and they are physically separated but located on the same former. The former is connected to the speaker cone, which moves in

I have always been disapointed with center speakers. They do the most work in a system, and rarely seem to sound as good as the front left/right.

I recently dug deep into my pockets and splurged on a RSX1067. It was the right choice, but my pockets are empty (at least my wife says so!)....

Single vs Dual Channel Measurements, or why friends don’t let friend use USB mics
      by Reet
What does single channel or dual channel measurement really mean, and what are the implications of choosing one over the other? This document aims to help answer this.
Strictly speaking, a microphone is a single channel of audio input, in that it is a mono signal. USB microphones which include integrated ADC and USB codec can be considered a single channel device.

Dual channel would be a measurement which includes a second channel of signal input in addition to the microphone....
