Does anyone know if you can order a silver faceplate from Rotel and swap it with the black one easily? What does Rotel charge for just the face?

I was told by Rotel when I asked the same question about a faceplate change for my multidisk RCC1055 CD player that they could not do that because the serial number of the unit was tied to the color of the faceplate.

Hey Daymond, I also have a RSX 1065. Mine is black also. I was told you can order them in either black or silver. If you go to Rotel.com and under contacts. Try and get in touch with Mike Sheehan. Actually here is his direct e-mail msheehan@bwgroupusa.com He has treated me great with any questions I have had with my 1065. Question for you.....What Software version do you have installed in your unit ? What do you think of the RSX 1065 ?

I contacted Rotel and they told me the serial number IS tied to the faceplate color, so they will not allow you to purchase it after the fact.Comment

Heh.. Yeah but the silver has a bit more 'air' to it...
Honestly with all the display and buttons on the front, you would probably be asking for a good challenge to convert it over. I would imagine Rotel doesn't want the follow up calls if they did sell a faceplate.
