    Rotel A/V Receivers & Vandersteen

Hi, I need help. I have Vandersteen 2cs and am looking to set up a HT. I have a Vandersteen VCC1 center speaker and a V2W subwoofer on order. My room is about 13x27 feet. I need guidance on what size Rotel receiver I need. RSX 1056 or RSX 1067. One option I may have is to use my Counterpoint SA12(about 80 watts/ch) to drive the 2Cs. I don't have dealers where I can audition these items, so I'll be depending on your input.
    Thanks,

    Hi,

I do not know your speakers, so I cannot comment on that. However the 1056 has a neat redirect feature. It will redirect the poweramps from the fronts to the surround back speakers.

Now you can use your poweramp for the front channels, have a sort of pre-pro combination. This will improve your stereo performance. And with HT you get a 7.1 system, since all the channels (exept main) will be powered bij the 1056.

I think that a 1056 with your poweamp will sound very close to the 1067...

    Good luck in choosing

      RSP-1068, RSX-1056, RSX-1067 Firmware Ver 1.2.5.
      by Kevin D
Attached is the latest (that I know of) firmware for the RSP-1068, RSX-1056, & RSX-1067. It's not on Rotel's website as the fixes it add's do not effect 99.9% of users out there.

RSX-1056 - redirect front mains to centre?
      by Nick T
      Hi everyone,
I'm aware that, with the 1056, you can redirect the front channel amplifiers to
power center back speakers or speakers in Zone 2 speakers. But if i'm running a 6.1 setup (ie using the 1056 and an RB1070 to power the front mains ), i assume its impossible to redirect one of...

      Another question about 1056 redirect
      by cmr15
I know that this issue has been addressed in the forum, and I have done a search to investigate it myself. However, I'm a bit confused and would really appreciate your answers.

I am probably going to get the 1056 and add and amp like the 1070 to power my main speakers for good 2 channel...

      Hi all:

I will purchase a pair of B&W CM4 speakers and a CM series central channel. I live in an apartment right now so don't have the space to setup 5.1 but I will move into a house in next two year. I am also going to a Rotel receiver or pre/pro/amp combo. My candidate choices are:...

      RSX-1056 Redirect Setting
      by Don
I have upgraded the software and firmware version to the latest one.
My question is, if I setup the redirect option to Front->CB, this does not get saved. If I go back to the setting it is back to NO, Redirect=NO
I have also setup the CB spearkers.

      I have not used this...
