    110 v 220-230Volt

Any of you got some experience with the following :

When I bought my Rotel receiver, Ii just moved from the States to Europe. I was looking for a receiver that I could use in Europe and at later stage in the US (110 and 220-230 Volt). Rotel confirmed through email that they don't manufacture products like this. The same week, my Rotel sales guy confirmed that the RSX-1055 could be used on both continents without any power-conversions and even gave me the blackprints with instructions from Rotel  and showed me which button's/jumpers to set when I leave Europe....

Did you come across other receivers and processors made like this :B

    Sirbogey,

Some receivers have a switch in the back of the reciever which allows you to convert back and forth between voltages. I am unsure about the 1055.

I will move this over to the Club Rotel thread where you will more concrete answers to your questions.

    Peace and blessings,

    Azeke

RSX-1055 doesn't have it at the back. It's actually inside the receiver. What receivers/processors have that switch? I couldn't fiind anything else 5 years ago....

There's a surprising amount of stuff made that will auto switch. You'll generally see that it's 110-230v displayed near the power cord.

        However, the place I've found that sells this, isn't necessarily high end (; Most of my auto switching electronics came from the AAFES catalog (;

            Philips DVD963SA & rsx1055
            by Alfa
Recently purchased the Philips DVD963SA player to go with my RSX1055 receiver. I run my speakers as small on the receiver and was wondering if I should do the same in the DVD players setup for multi input?

Also I have noticed that when I change from the Co-ax input (receivers decoder),...

I wish I could make this non-model specific, but so far, this is all I know of actually delivering to consumers. Got an Integra press release today.

Looks AMAZING for only $800! Note the deep color capability, Audyssey room correction, HDMI upconversion, and HD audio decoding!

            US firmware on European RSX1055
            by audunth
            Hi!

On the European Rotel website, you have to send an email with the serial number in order to get the update files, whereas on the US website they're available for direct download.

Can I just use the US files, even though my RSX1055 is bought in Europe? Since the European...

a/v receivers, about $400... and THD?
            by palmetto
i am chooing between the sony STR DA1000ES a/v receiver and the pioneer elite VSX-41. both are discounted to about $400 and have features that i require (such as 100+W and A/B speaker switching). both have relatively handsome design suitable to the room. 2.1 channel music is 80%, 3.1 ht 20%.
