Good news on RSP 1098 Centre Channel

    Yesterday I emailed Rotel about this center channel shield, asking who I should contact to get this done.
    Today I got an email from B&W Loudspeakers Holland (distributor for Rotel in Benelux), telling me the factory had been closed for the last 3 weeks, and they'll be getting some more shields in about 3 weeks.
    They offered to send it to me personally, including the manual on how to do the upgrade yourself.
    So it can't be that difficult

        Hi,

        Mine was retrofitted with the shield and it now has no noise from center channel.

        Excellent customer service from Rotel as well as my dealer.

            1066 owners – I ‘m asking for advice! I’ve had an RSP 1066 on order since May, when the initial shipment to Australia sold out.

            Now ‘my’ unit is due to arrive in Oz in just a week – and Rotel still has not corrected the bass management issues in the firmware.

            Is anyone going to be attending the Cedia show that opened today? There have been rumours for months that this is the show that Rotel will unveil a replacement to the RSP-1098.

            www.hometheatermag.com has a special report running on Cedia, but their current focus is on video components...
