    Illuminated Volume Knob on 1068?

Does anyone know if the volume knob on the 1068 is supposed to be illuminated? I noticed that there is a blue ring around the knob and thought maybe it was supposed to light up?

    thanks.

So then, why the blue ring? Its not really noticeable unless up close to the unit.

Would have been sweet if it was illuminated.

      Thanks.

Azeke, thanks for the replies and link to the other thread. I had searched before my original post and did not find anything.

Some pretty funny observations regarding the blue light. As there always is in this club regarding every & all topics. That's why I love it, apart from it being a good source of info on Rotel.

But seriously...why the blue ring if it doesnt light up? lol

              Volume and Mathematics Question
              by roundmound
I have an unusual question and please indicate if my logic is extremely flawed.

I own the Rotel 1068, 1095 (200Wx5) and 1060 along with B&W 705s, which are rated at 50-120W power handling. By linear logic, the 1068 at volume 60 means that the 1095 is providing the maximum 120W to...

              1068 Absolute Volume?
              by Tim_D
              I have a 1068 pre/pro paired with a 1075 amp. For a sub, I have a SVS PB-12/Plus 2

I normally listen at about 58 to 60 on the volume for the 1068. I want to try plugging one or more of the ports on the SVS sub but am concerned with any potential stressing or bottoming out of the sub....

              1068 - A loose volume knob
              by alkalay
              Hey rotelian mates,

Has any of you experienced a loose volume knob on a 1066, 1068, 1098 or any other Rotel's pre, integrated or receiver?

My 1068 exhibits this looseness when turning the knob to one direction and then to the opposite one. First I thought it was normal...

Problem With Volume Knob on 1068
              by Rael
I've owned my 1068 processor for a couple of years now and never had any problems until recently. All of a sudden, the volume knob has a mind of its own. When I go to turn it, it will suddenly jump from 58 down to 35 or even all the way to max! It doesn't matter if I turn it up or down, I never know...

              1068 Volume Issue
              by ajpoe
I've had my 1068 for a few months now and all of a sudden my volume is going crazy. It keeps jumping up really high even after I take my finger off the volume button and the same going down. I know the update made the volume go a lot faster, and I am used to that change.... that's not whats happening....
