what are the differences between these? aside from the newer being thx cert? are there technically any hardware differences?

1066 what? They had a RSP-1066 Pre/Pro and they have a RMB-1066 amp, neither of which I believe were THX certified.

rsp, aren't there 2 versions - the older brushed looking black aluminum and a newer silver version with the modern look?Comment

There's the older RSP1066 that was available in black or silver and the newer RSP1068 that's also available in balck or silver

The Rotel web site is updated to include the 1066 replacement, the 1068. They also have the 1068 manual online. I am looking at an Onkyo 603 and 703 receiver, the 703 has THX cert and a few extra pre-outs. Is it worth the $200 extra dollars for a THX cert?
