    RB-960 amp

I use 2 of these amps in my home theater, bridged, one for each main channel. one of them on occation gets a little static during movies on occasion. this happen to anyone else. I traced it to the amp because I switched them, and the problem followed the amp.

I'm wondering if it is because I am running it bridged. It is powering a Polk LS90 speaker. it's 8 ohms, and I have been doing this for about 6 months.

    Oshkigod,

This is most likely a part going out of tolerance with age in one of the RB-960's (could be a capacitor). Put it in for service and they problem will most likely go away.. Just run the other un-bridged while it is in for service.

sounds about right. it does it very infrequently, but if it is a bad cap, it will probably get worse over time. guess I'm gonna find a repair shop, or another amp depending on the price I can get it for.

      thanx for your help ausie
