    Suggested RC Feature

Wouldn't it be nice if you could directly specify the volume level as an RC command, i.e., # SetVolume(absolute) AND +/-# SetVolume(relative). All my input devices seem to have a different level. Think of the possibilities with a macro capable remote control !

jerohm -- this is where the serial port at the back of most Rotel products can come in handy (assuming you also have some computer or crestron like system connected to it).

A computer could read the current volume and source, and adjust volume when you move to another source without any user intervention... all of this could happen very quickly (less than half a second)

      Jerohm,

      Great idea...

I've added it to the RSP 1098 Wish List V2.0 thread to capture it for the future.

Others - how about those RC suggestions?

        Unibox Volume Calculation Question
        by lcolbur1
Correct me if I'm wrong, but once I input the required driver specifications into Unibox, it calculates a recommended volume, be it for sealed, ported, etc. I'm assuming this volume is accurate, but based on what? I input Dayton's 5" reference driver specs and got a suggested volume of 2.6 liters...

        by Aussie Geoff
        Hi,

I have five new suggestions for the next version of the RSP-1098 wish list that I am seeking comment on prior to inclusion in the next version. Are these worthwhile, what priority would people give them etc.

        Summarised briefly these are:

        Oppo BDP-103 review
        by BobEllis
Well, Lex, you asked for it. My after Christmas present to myself was a new Blu-Ray player in the form of a BDP-103, which I have enjoyed for around 6 weeks.

In a nutshell, I love this player. Video quality is excellent using a 60" Panasonic GT50. I only have one 3-D movie so...

1055/1066 owners, whats your favorite feature?
        by sdecker
I own a 1055 and my favorite feature is the sub/center/surround level adjustment.

How many times have you bumped up you sub or center channel volume and forgot to turn it back? With the Rotel it goes back automatically when you change sources or modes.

        All processers should...
