I finally GOT IT: RSP-1098 :):):):)

Hi guys,

I finally got the call from my dealer this Friday telling me "Come and Get it". I had waited for this machine since July and it finally arrived.

First impressions:

Annoying stuff:

1) Sound seems to be too bright, but it has gotten better since yesterday. The dreaded brake in period
2) I don't like the fact that when you turn off the display, it will turn on automatically when volume is changed
3) All the clicking sounds. Well I am sure I will get use to this

Good Stuff

1) Huge sound stage, specially with 5.1 material
2) Fantastic setup opportunities for any kind of material
3) Excellent looks
4) Incredibly detailed sound. I am hearing things in movies and CDs I own that I have not heard before, and I had the 1066 before!

By the way, it took me about 45 min to figure out how to use the multi-input for DVD-A yesterday . I am still playing around with all the setup menus.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent Machine. I am Defiantly happy with my upgrade. Money well spend.

Yes I did. My Dealer has an upgrading program. I only lost 4% of the original price I paid for the 1066 when I upgraded.

Actually I have 2 new toys. The Sammy DLP came just over a week before the 1098

I placed my order for it in March. At that time I had the RSP-1066 for only 2 months. My dealer has an upgrading program that you loose 2%/month on processors and since I placed an order in March, I only lost 4% of the original value. Mind you, my dealer charges MSRP and no discounts.
