Rotel RB1080 & McCormack DNA125

Hi,

Hope viewers here 've come accross on sound quality of McCormack DNA125 & Quad 909 power amps. How is the over all quality of the sound of these 2 power amps compared to Rotel 1080? I was told any thing above Rotel, I'll 've diminished returns or price performance-wise, it's not justifiable. Any comments from fellow audiophiles on above 3 products. I'll chose one among them.

Source NAD 541i
Pre : Yet to decide, depending upon the amp. If I choose Rotel 1080, I'll go for RC1070.

If it happend Quad 909 power amp, I'll 've to go for 99 pre. If its DNA 125 I've not decided yet, preferably I'll go for valve Pre.

If you would go for Rotel
it's similar as mine: 1068/1095/Audience 52

I heard All QUAD 99, 99pre, 99 power drive the QUAD speakers,
Dyna 52 QED XT 400 cables : sound very good but not much clean

Otherwise you should listen and decide on your own, don't believe
in other ones else :Z

I also heard Plinius 9100 and Krell 400i with Dyna

But I prefer the sound of Krell much more

I think NAD cd/ Krell 400/ Dyna 72 is not bad!

IMO Rotels are value for money & you can trust them. Before taking decision on buying I wanted to know how much big difference other two brands which I had mentioned in my earlier post makes. If the difference is day & night & then I've to look into those brands/models. I rqst audiophile collegues to comment on McCormack DNA125, Quad 909, Rotel 1080.
