2 x RB-1080 or RMB-1095?

I own the RB 03

I intend to buy the RSP 1068 and more power amps

For me format of 5.0 or 6.0 is quite enough

I can't not decide: 2 X RB1080 or one 1095 ( similar price )

I heard the 1080s may have some problems with fuses

Should I go for it ?

1095 gives you one more channel of 200 watts....

That's about the only difference...

I think it images a slight bit better for HT use than the 1080s would.

RB-1080 is not THX certified
may be not idea suited for HT

My RB-1080 purchased new in march-05 is THX certified.

i was under the impression that all the 1080s are THX certified. One 1095 will take up less shelf space than 2x1080s.

Given the trouble I have had with the 1080 (fuses times 3) or the stellar performance I have had with the 1095 it would be an easy decision for me. The 1095 rules. Fantastic amplifier for the dollar value.

Don't get too hung-up on the THX stamp. Rotel states that they are entitled to continue using the THX license on the 1080 as well as other "legacy" products, but their new equipment will no longer carry it.
