can 1095 blow a womans dress off (pics)

    hi

i brought a power amp 1095 because it looks good and because i wanted the 200 per channel in my room

what i realy was dreaming about was the thing in the itallian job (mark whelberg)when one of the robbers said that with his stolen money he whants to buy speakers that tear a womans dress off

is that dooable i whant something like that that is sexy + i asked my rotel dealer and he said you should forget about any thing like that with rotel and get valves

can my 1095 do that.....if it can with what speakers can i couple them with

and if i wanted too demo my 1095 for my friends what movie do you recomend to totaly turn them to the dark side ....ROTEL

so attached are the speakers used in the movie

the other are the speakers i use i want to cry seriously i want to cry
the later are the klipsch (not bad )
    or the

last is movie i would realy love to hear in my rotel 1095 :T

and any of the above speakers exept the ML those are strictly for dreaming

    Well here's the thing...

    that's all fake.

No speakers will "tear" your close off. Though if you have enough sub, it can push your hair (provided it's long like a womans hair cut) straight back as the air rushes out of the location the subs are in. I've seen it done at a car subwoofer competition.

Though I must warn that this is EXTREMELY damaging to ones ears and prolonged exposure will result in hearing loss.

Ohh...and the truck was using close to 20,000 watts.

If you want the maximum output with your 1095 try Klipsch Reference 7 series. The towers are over 102 dbw/m and are capable of 135 db max output. While I don't believe that could blow off a woman's dress it may make her want to leave the room for the bedroom to protect her ears....LOL

Lots of movies to recommend, but my favorite demo to impress is Master and Commander. The cannon shots are awesome.

That statement "speakers that tear a woman's dress off" immediately reminded of a pair of refrigerator sized DIY speakers [very low WAF] with Pyle Driver 15-inch woofers I built during the early 1980s. On certain bass notes, you could actually feel air being pumped from the ports across the room. Enough to blow a dress off ? No. Enough to lift one up ? Probably yes.

            how about one of these:

Genelec loudspeakers are designed for demanding professional, home and AV installation use.

it wont blow off a woman's dress, but DAMN close. i demoed this with a few of these:

Genelec loudspeakers are designed for demanding professional, home and AV installation use.

in a 7.1 configuration. with an ADA front end in a custom theatre at +3, i felt pretty sick. we watched the scene in the matrix with the helicopter, and it was to the point where you felt almost weightless.

in the same room, we also have 3 meridian DSP8000's a velodyne DD18 and a few of the meridian surrounds. it kicks some major a$$ too.

but, for ripping off women's clothing, a pair of those HTS6's would come pretty close to doing that. even at ridiculous levels, they never sounded like we were really even driving them.

i was sitting on a stool in the back of the theater running the demo and my stool was chattering across the floor.

I think honestly you are going to need more something like this. HIGH SPL....

                    http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/ptech/0...i.stereo.kill/

                    130,000 watts at 177.6dB...

Too bad it's only at 74Hz though.

That's what you need more is Decibel Drag type stuff.

There's a couple of ways you'd get a womans dress off due to sounds from a speaker....the obvious being playing romantic music. Truthfully the only way to move clothing at all is to move a lot of air which you'll only do with a large driver playing very low notes. My sub will easily rattle our pant legs and move hair when called upon to do so but its far from able to blow a dress off...its comical that they chose a ML speaker in that movie...guess it looked imposing (which they are to my wallet)

There were some McIntosh speakers at this years CES that could probably blow a womans dress off. I can't find a link, but they were HUGE floorstanders powered by two MC2Ks (which is a three piece 2000 watt mono block). It was the most incredible thing I ever heard.

I will try to find a link and post.

There's no way for any speaker to blow a woman's dress off. A window fan pushes far more air than even the largest subwoofer, but you'd need a fan that produces gale force winds to blow clothing off.

Instead, you're better off getting the woman to take the dress off willingly, either via romantic methods or getting speakers that are so good looking and sounding that she can't wait to bear your children. Maybe that was the guy's motive in the movie.

                                  Sure there is.

Why just the other evening after coming home from a nice dinner with the wife I slapped her favorite Sting CD in the disc player and that dress was off in a matter of seconds, wasn't even *that* loud either!

Hmmmm, this scenario reminds me of a gorgeous young girl way back in the day and a Fleetwood Mac album....*if* I remember correctly. :T

                                        Speaking personally.

If anyone was going to get my dress off with an A/V System it would have to ve via the first method... that Andrew suggested.

Unless of course it was say a meridian 800 system with B&W nautilus speakers (The proper snail like ones). Well then... they could do whatever they hell they wanted

Blowing the cloths off, isn't this the job of a properly configured 12 volt trigger?
I may have to check the manual again......

                                                    Hello,

I've recently bought a second-hand Rotel 1095 MKII. So far it's been fairly hellish on me. The problem I am having is the following: when I turn the switch on the front to the 'off' position; the amp does not turn off at all. I can play a song through the Rotel from my cd player...

I'm a new ( and happy ) rotel user for over two months now. 1066 + 1095 feeding a pair of b&w n804 as mains, htm1 as centre and 2x705 as rears. To say that I'm enchanted with the system's performance is an understatement !
                                                    I found a buzz/hiss problem with the 1095...

                                                    G'day,

Finally traded in my RMB-1075 for an RMB-1095. Matched with an RSP-1068 pre/pro and an RCD-1072 CD player.

I was alternating between the 1095, or keeping the 1075 and adding an RB-1080. I chose the 1095 because (a) it's better to have too much power than not enough...

Okay, I'm looking for a little bit of help here...

I have both the 1095 and 1080 and am trying to figure out which one I want to push my mains (B&W DM604 S3s). Right now I have the RMB-1095 since I haven't gotten my 1080 back off my friend (he's using it for right now until his amp...

I'm curious on all your opinions if getting the RMB-1095 is too much for my speakers.

                                                    Right now I have a Yamaha RX-v1400 running a B&W DM604 S3/LCR600/DM602 S3 with a SVS PC+20-39 sub. I'm upgrading the sub when I get a chance to the SVS PB12-Ultra/2...which was next... However,...
