    RB-1080 Current

On the Rotel website, the amps are titled as "High current two channel amplifier". Now I wonder how much current is being produced by these amps?

I’m looking at the RB-1080 and RB-1070, I would also like to compare the numbers to the integrated amps and HT multichannel.

    Any thoughts?

The RB-1070 has a peak current output of 50A. The RB-1080 has a peak current output of 120A. The RMB-1075 is 50A peak and the RMB-1095 is 110A peak. Not sure about the integrated amps but I think the RA-1062 is somewhere around 30A peak current.

Also if at all possible, go out and demo. Do not let the numbers alone guide you. Take it from someone who did and it took a round about way to get where I am.

        RB991/RB1080 for Dyn Audience 82
        by Belgarath99
        Hi

I have heard that this is the best forum to talk Rotel.

I am thinking of buying an used Rotel RB991 to add to my HT setup. I will use the pre-out of my Denon AVR 3805 to connect to the power amp to drive my Dynaudio Audience 82 speakers.

        I have heard comments...

Is Rotel introducing 7 channel amps?
        by sunggipark
I've read on another forum post that Rotel is going to introduce a couple of 7 channel amps to replace the current 5 channel amps.

Anyone have any info/details and the expected date of introduction?

        SOLUTION to my RB1080 hum!!!
        by Al K
Thanks again to the club members that helped me determine the source of the hum through my speakers! ( As posted previously, hum appeared with the addition of a new RB1080 added to sysytem). The source in my case was the tv cable! I never mentioned how I permanently solved the problem!! So here is the...

Amps? What do all the numbers mean?
        by Rolyasm
Okay, I am looking at some amps for my subwoofer. I am using four 15" Avalanche drivers in a large box system. That is another forum. It has been recommended that I use Behringers's EP2500 amplifier, which I am happy to do, but wanted to compare some others and learn something at the same time....

Do you feel bi-amping helps with higher powered amps?
        by audioqueso
        Hey everyone,

A few days ago I had received my B&W 805s, but for the time being I am only powering them with a Marantz SR6400 (100x5). I was considering adding a dedicated amp such as the Marantz MM-9000, but I've convinced myself to go with a Rotel RB1080 or RMB1095 since I've always...
