This is no April Fools Joke folks. During the next couple of days, we will be picking a day to migrate HTGuide to a new server. We will have the same reliable service we have always had, as we are not changing Hosting Services, only moving to a new updated state of the art server! Support is working to coordinate things right now.
We will announce the date of migration from old server to the new server in due time. We hope to minimize downtime while the DNS propagates to our new IP address, and service is restored. But some downtime is inevitable.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to compare the 1068 and 1098 pre-processors? Other than the display screen on the 1098 and the additional inputs/outputs, is there much of an audible difference between the two units? Also, how does the 1098 compare to Anthem's AVM20 or AVM30 models?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You may try running a search on this subject as it is one that has been discussed often before. However, to answer your question in a nutshell, the 1068 is a 1098 lite.
I've found a DTS bug on a 1068 I was installing the other day. I recreated it on our store 1068, and even my home 1098. Rotel is looking into it, but I'm not sure how seriously. As people have time, if you could do a test for me I would appreciate it.
Good day. I am ugrading from my RSP-985, due to its lack of component inputs/output and my television only having one component input, in order to take advantage of Comcast adding HDTV in my area. Has anyone had any problems or issues with either the 1098 or 1068 and HDTV? Thank you.
Does anone have any word on wether Rotel will be offerring software updates to the new formats? Since the bitrates are not higher than required for DTS 24/96 there should be sufficient processing power in both the 1098 and 1068 to handle the new formats.
In case anyone hasn't seen this link, I thought I'd jot it down here. I also thought it might provide for some fresh ideas/discussion on additional wish list items for our own Rotel 1098/1068 etc products ...
