    RMB 1075 Shutdown

So I got home yesterday and knew i had some time to jam prior to the wifes arrival, I immediatly decided to go DVDA. After playing 3 discs im in the middle of my 4th selection and decide to push it up a few notches I believe i hit 78 when all of a sudden bloop all amps lights kick on and nothing.
so i turned everything off and waited about 5 min. Back on everything is good again.

Questions I'm, in a fairly cool environment about 77 degrees I have ample room
above and beside the amp... should i run a fan near the amp?
Should I seek Repair? Or am i pushing the speakers to hard?

More info I was playing the 2ch versions of the discs and my speakers are
B&W DM604S3 using nice quality cables. Non Bipoled.

PS I was loving it

I would guess heat is not what tripped you up but rather an impedance dip. You're amp saw a channel nearing 2 ohms or less which is getting close to short and said, "I quit for safety sake". Where are you're tone (contour) settings at. @ flat you can drive em pretty hard I would bet, but boost the bass and you can dip pretty low pretty quick.

WOW!! 83?? man did you check the house for structure damage?? :E That amp shut down as a self protection. I have never had mine past 70, and at that level it was way beyond what I would ever play it at. Be gentle my man, be gentle, your ears will thank you in the long run.

          HeHeHe

I could'nt help it i was in the mode. it was Fleetwood Mac The Chain,
And that bass with the lead solo was just kickin it for me.
I must say those B&W's really put out the bass i had no sub just tried n true
2ch love. I grew up playing my music as loud as ah a ted nugent concert so
as long as my ears are not ringin when im done i go with it

but yeah im stayin in the 70's for a max vol deal
