Rotel gear is on its way!

I finally did it. I finally ordered my Rotel gear. It took me three months to finally make up my mind, but I finally did it! Much of this decision came from the helpful people of this forum. Thank you!

    Here is what's coming...

    RSX-1056
    RB-1080
    RDV-1050

They are expected to be here early next week, Monday or Tuesday. I have been very patient up until now. Now, I can't wait for them to get here. Funny how that is.

By the way, I also ordered my cables through Cat Cables, the sponsor of this forum. Again, after a long and exhaustive research. So far I am batting 100. Lex (Doug) has been awesome. His customer service has been top notch, A-1. I am very pleased with him. Thanks, Lex! :T

Pictures will be coming soon, stay tuned!

(I have a similar post at Club B&W Speakers.)

Sounds like a great setup!!! You'll definitely enjoy it!

Make sure you give yourself (and the gear) a week or two of listening before you really do lots of critical listening. You'll be amazed how much better it sounds.

Congrats! I've been doing much more music listening since I got the 1056; I will be adding a 5 channel amp soon.

I think you'll really like your set up a lot.

I also have the 1056 and the rb1080 amp - you're going to love listening to music again - at least I do.
                Congrats on the new equipment.
PS - My 1056 has none of the problems you might read about here, but my first unit did so I returned it after 2 days for this new one. If you hear any static pops out of the speakers or excessive hiss return it for another. That way you don't have to complain about it all day because that's not the way it is suppose to perform.

I've only had my 1056 (no external amps - yet) for 3 days, and I'm already listening to more music.

And not only listening, but also HEARING things that I would swear were not on the CDs before. Mind you, I upgraded my speakers a step or two as well to Paradigm Monitor 5's, which are nice, but certainly aren't high budget speakers.

Now, I can hear the singer breathing in, the piano pedals moving, etc. etc.

                  It's weird, but exciting!

So, you're going to love your equipment.

I do have the popping and hissing, so today (Monday), I'm going in to talk to my salesman, but I won't be moving away from the 1056, that's for sure!

                  Enjoy!
                  .

                    That's a beautiful setup, Rebelman.

BTW, did you get silver or black?

Inquiring minds want to know .

                    Enjoy your new toys,

                      My Rotel gear is here!!!

Thanks for the kind words and support! I'm sure I will enjoy the system and I am looking forward to listening to more music! I have spent "enough" time at the dealer(s). Time to spend some time at home now... "That the gang is all here!!!" :T

I hope I don't run into any problems, but if I do, I think I'll manage. I have plenty of ammunition from Club Rotel.

BTW, Azeke, I went with Silver. I think the Silver and Black combination is pure Elegance.

I'm waiting for my cables to come in before I post the pictures. Until then, enjoy these teasers.

                        Hi there RebelMan,
Looks like you did your homework well, that's a knockout system waiting to be unpacked if you ask me!
I especially like the idea you chose the 1056/1080 instead of other available options. Although I am indeed very satisfied with my 1068/1075 combo, I wouldn't be surprised I'd choose your combo if I had to do it over again, since the 1075 clearly has its limits when it comes to driving speakers like for instance your brand new 803s in stereo use...

Enjoy your boxes for now ( : ) and prepare to enter nirvana when your cables arive...

                          Thanks, weijst.

I actually considered separates. Unfortunately, it would have doubled my costs. Since I planned most of my budget on speakers I had to make some tough decisions. So the, separates lost out.

The 1068/1075 is a nice combination too and the 1068/1095 even sweeter, but just too much for me this go around.

Well I finally did it, I ordered my RSP-1066 / RMB-1075 combo today. Should be here by next Wednesday. After weeks of riding the fence, flip flopping between separates and various flagship receivers I decided on Rotel. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions over the past few weeks.

                            Finally - Speaker Upgrade complete
                            by timmay1969
I finally made the decision. Ordered the Aerial Acoustics 7b and CC3b in Rosewood.

I will be ready to upgrade my amp to the 1095 in the 1075 can't handle it.
I also have the Rb-1080 for the mains, we shall see how the 1075 does on center and surround channel duty.

Thinking hard about getting a new pair of bookshelf speakers and a center channel for my bedroom system. After a pretty exhaustive search, I think I found some that will probably make me happy as a loon for years to come. They cost about $2300 and everything I've read makes me believe these are speakers...

So I know I've been talking about upgrading my server for quite some time, well I'm not sure this is an upgrade in terms of computational power. It is an upgrade on power usage though! Currently we are running 2 different servers one a 20 bay file server that's ~60% filled with drives and is loud as...
