    what is the best replacement for nakamichi ca1

    Hello,
    My HT setup;
    Nakamichi CA1-sound processor
    Nakamichi PA1/ 5x100-power amp
    Boston Acoustic Fr speakers
    Mission Rear speakers
    Definitive-center channel
    hd-comcast box
    last week I bought a Denon 3910 dvd player ( also plays DVD-audio, SACD...)
    The problem I have now is playing DVD audio/SACD discs...the output from Denon is 5.1 analog, but I don't have the input on my pream Nakamichi CA1...
    I was thinking to upgrade the Nakamichi CA1 to a Rotel RSP 1066 or 1068, or or some other brand ( maybe a Marantz AV9000? or Elite 54TX)...
    Do you have any other suggestions ?
    If I decide to go with a Rotel Processor, is there a major sound difference between 1066 and 1068...I would like to have your inputs here, since I am new to the Rotel brand.

      The RSP-1068 is state of the art, if you can afford it you won't regret it. Many people still buy, own, enjoy the 1066, it is just not the most recent version. On a side note a big difference would be had by swapping you're center with a direct match to you're fronts. I had used the same manufacturer (different models) for fronts and center, then exchanged my center for the same "series" and it made a BIG difference.
