Does any one know where I can see apicture of the Rsp 1098 in black, i'm going to be ourchasing one soon, and would like to know what the black one looks like.

Mark, there has been a change in this setup. The 2 amps have been replaced with a nice big 1095. But that is silver like the DVD player, so might have to get the front panel replaced on the 1098. Not sure what I should do.

I seem to recall that Rotel were offering a service to exchange the black panels on older kit for the new silver panels when silver first arrived. I must have read this in What HiFi or some magazine that i had at the time.
They might still offer this service.

You can go to your dealer and have them order the silver front panel for you... Or you can call rotel directly for parts (I believe the number is on here somewhere).
I do like the looks of the black, but after seeing them, I definitely prefer the silver now....I think it's just tooo much black.
Digital Audio makes me Happy.

Funny when I contacted Rotel about this change, they wanted £100 GBP per unit to swap.
I left it at that, but as I not have a silver amp and dvd player, I should really pursue it.

I was hoping someone could help me with my Rotel RSP 1098. Although its old, I have fell in love with the sound that it has produced. I am using this in combination to my RMB 1095. I use the multi input channel to connect my Oppo 103D to the RSP 1098.

Hi everybody
I got a RSP 1098 that have the typical loss of signal via optical , no relay sounds when I change sound mode. I also have no sound if stereo/bypass. I had it once at service but they sent it back "all ok "
Now it worked for a short bit , but now... -
Does anyone know the suggested retail price for the 1098? I was just quoted $3000 by my local dealer. He is going to call me back shortly and let me know what he will give me for my 1066 as a trade in. If everything works out right, I could have a new black 1098 in my rack this evening!

I have the Rotel RB1095 in black and i'm looking to purchase the RSP-1098 and I was wondering how the black one looks, i've seen the silver one not to thrilled with the silver plate, just wondering if the black one looks better, and feed back would greatly be appreciated.
