    LCD not showing video

    Hi All

My 1098 LCD does not show video anymore. Im sure its something I have played with. It did show picts when I first set it up.

I have a RDV-1050 connected to it using comp & composite.

Is there a "for dummies" guide for the 1098 ?

    Thanks

    Eric...

Press the display button twice and turn the function dial and it should reappear.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the TFT won't display any progressive scan video images.
So if you have your sources connected to V1 and V2, and set them to progressive, it just might not work.
Maybe try to connect them to V3 or another video input, or set progressive to None.
        Just a thought.

I'd bet good money as well, when your DVD player outputs a Progressive signal, it turns off the composite video out (since it's really uneeded since you can't use it with a progressive signal).

I bet if you turn off the progressive scan on the DVD player it'd work fine. Just a hunch I have.

Thanks for the tips, but no luck

turned off Progressive on the DVD (VFP/Progressive Scan button) and set Progressive = No under Display.

Might have to check if the cable has come out next, but thats not going to be easy.

            Thanks

Indeed, I'd check the cable, usually when my TFT doesn't display it is relative to the rca cable (Cable 101), not being fully engaged.

              Good Luck,
