RSP 1098 finally in Baltimore, YEA

Around 2pm east coast time in USA, 2 not 1 came UPS to a local store I do things for. The funny thing is that the REPs for Rotel/Yamaha/B&W showed up too. They where there to talk about the Yamaha wireless/Lan music thing, cool idea.

BACK to the RSP 1098, I had two problems.
1. No sound at first - it was the "trigger" switch - I turned it off and sound
2. Can't get the plastic thing on the LCD off.

Setup without
the need for the remote or your tv on totally rocks

Sounds fine, looks nice.

Did not have time to really listen to it, I was play with the wireless thing from Yamaha. No worries, I'll listen to it with Quads ESL, Thiels, and my Stax hopefully soon.

Can't wait for Rotel's next "thing"

I looked on Rotel's site about the 1098 and opened a page with the 1066.

errors on 1098 page

Weight should be
15.7 Kg/34.6 lb

Power Consumption should be
70 watts (normal)
60 watts (TFT screen off)
7.5 watts (standby)

there may be others.

Jaakan,

I also had problems removing the plastic from the LCD screen. I finally removed it using a dental pic and placed it gently in the upper right hand corner. This allowed me to finally grasp the plastic and remove it without scratching the screen.

Did anyone else experience issues with the removal of the plastic, or did we miss something?
