    RMB 1080 and 1066 vs 1095

I'm trying to decide on which set up would be better. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The 1066 is bridged to 3 channels

    Thank you,

I would not recommend the RMB1066 for a home theater application. A 1080 and 1075 would be a good choice. The 1066 in bridged mode requires that the speakers not drop below 8ohms, something most theater speakers do. Even if the speakers are nominally 8ohms, they could drop below it in the bass region.

That said, I use the 1066 for my center rears, but they are in-walls with a high crossover. I'll be upgrading to a 1090 for my fronts and move my extra 1095 channels to the center rears. The 1066 was purchased for multi-room speakers.

Which is the better combo - 1066/1095 or 1068/1075

      Hey all,

I just recently bought an RSX-1067 and RCD-1072 CD player. I'm really loving the sound and enjoying the music right now...at least for the most part. For my main speakers, I have Axiom M80's ti's (excellent speaker btw), which run at 4 ohms. Now the 1067 will physically drive...

How many ampheres do the 1095 & 1080 draw?
      by UCLAman
Anyone know how many ampheres the 1095 and 1080 are drawing? I looked in the manual and on the back of each amp. and still could not find it - unless I missed it. I ask cause I am in the process of upgrading the power cables. Its not over 15 amps for the 1095, is it? 8O

      Thanks,

      Rotel 1095 vs 1080 - input needed
      by grit
I'm looking to drive Aerial 7b's and a cc3b (if you're not familiar with them, think B&W 803's and htm3s, but more power hungry). I've already determined that a 100 watt Classe amp is *not* enough power for the 7b's, as the bottom end disappers. The Rotel 1095 seems to drive them pretty well. What...

      1095 w/ 1080 biamping 802's?
      by Taco
I'm looking into adding a 1080 (2x200watts) to my 1066 preamp and 1095 (5x200watts). My thought is to biamp with the 1095 LR and the 2 channel 1080 running to each 802 so that each 802 is getting 400 watts. Does this make sense or is there a better suggestion out there.

      Thanks for all...

What's better to push the mains, RMB-1095 or RB-1080?
      by PewterTA
Okay, I'm looking for a little bit of help here...

I have both the 1095 and 1080 and am trying to figure out which one I want to push my mains (B&W DM604 S3s). Right now I have the RMB-1095 since I haven't gotten my 1080 back off my friend (he's using it for right now until his amp...
