Hum/Buzz solution: look at this

Searching the net for an answer to my hum/buzz problems with Rotel 1095, i've found this: http://www.graniteaudio.com/zero/
It's a little pricey, but if it works it will solve any hum/buzz problems.
I was wondering if someone in the forum ever tried this piece of equipment or something similar.

There's a lot of different gadgets people use to eliminate this. If you have cable TV or satellite hooked into your system, some of these devices can interfere with channel performance. My suggestion (and least expensive though time consuming) is locate the source and work with it.

Unfortunately, the 1095 has had a history and reputation of having this issue. I am not suggesting it is a bad sounding amp but others, including me, that have gotten rid of this amp, switched to a different one, and the buzz/hum is gone. Sometimes the noise comes from a ground loop and others, like me, it was simply the amp.

jimmyp58 nailed it, the biggest culprits in this hobby are ground loops, caused purely by individual equipment ground schemes, age of household wiring (lots of older homes used ungrounded branch circuits) and emi, be it high frequency (rf) or lower frequency picked up by routing signal carriers next to power lines. The ideal scenario is to isolate the root cause and adress it directly. Sometimes this can be as simple as tieing chasis together to eliminate the loops, or sometimes aftermarket line conditioners are needed depending on the source. I am not trying to sound like an expert, I have just worked on many types of machines (audio to industrial) and trust me, inductance and inductive reactance are powerful forces to reckon with.
