I went and ordered the Rotel RSP-1098 and a Rotel RT-1080, both in silver finish, and should be here next week. Man I can't wait to hear what this will add to my system, the 1095 made a HUGE difference, now we'll see what a real processor can do.

Hang on to your chair...you are about to take a giant leap out of mid-fi. The DD+PLIIx is absolutely fabulous. You will be amazed at how well it creates sonic images over your head.
I just got Spidy II yesterday and watched it last night. There are so many great sonic events in that movie that I wouldn't begin to know where to point the best out to you.

Fortunatly, the aftermarket mods to your better half will be around a lot longer than the 1098, and they will please her as much as you..even more than the 1098...wait and see....lol

I ended up picking up the 1098 and RT-1080 and RB-1080 as well...

I'm definitely hoping that the 1098 will be a bit step up from the Yamaha RX-v1400 I'm using right now... as I do really like this receiver compared to the Denon, Onkyo, H/K, and Marantz that were around the price range.
