When I got the 1095 I told my wife I wanted the RSP 1098 too, yada yada yada. I was talking to her the other day and I keep teasing her saying I ordered it and it should be here anyday, etc. Well, I did that again, and this time I REALLY played it like I did, she was like "NO you DIDN'T!", etc etc, finally I gave in and said no, I didn't, and I don't want it anyways, I want to see what CES has to show for new products before I get it. So then she says!!!! "Well there goes your Christmas present then" I dumped in my pants at that point, I said "What!, what do you mean??????" She was planning to order the 1098 for me for Christmas as a present, MY GOD I'M AN IDIOT!!!!! :cry:

That would have been the BIGGEST shock/surprise and most wonderful Christmas present I have ever got from her. I asked her how she would have gotten the hookup that I can get on them, she said she was going to look in my emails, etc to find the guy. I told her to get it anyways, she says "Nope, it's not a suprise anymore"

What a WONDERFUL wife to even think of getting that for me. I can't believe I shot myself in the foot like that. ops: Oh well, I just have to order it myself :B

She certainly sounds like a jewel! I am fortunate that I too have a wife who supports/enjoys my hobby and lets me do as I please (well almost...since the SVS PB2+, which she calls the coffin, arrived she has taken more interest in the way my new acquisitions are going to impact the room. However, the best I have ever seen out of her is a DVD (a disc not a player...lol)

Whats impressive is that she was going to order the correct piece.You must have drilled 1098,1098,1098 into her.My wife would never buy audio equipment for me...she sees only the boxes and responds ''more toys''.Recently, she asked what was on my Christmas list?...a Paradigm servo 15..I answered."You buy it and I'll put a bow on it" she answered.Works for us....fortunately,it will have a happy home downstairs because if it was going upstairs...size would be a problem.

Keith - thanks for the tears buddy It sucks that I did that to her, what a gift, she can NEVER surprise me with gifts too, I guess them everytime, this would have NEVER been in my mind for a second.

Jerry - Thanks dude, she is the best!! It's not all about me though, she wants fake boobs, so I get the 1098, she gets boobs, works for me both ways hehe
She never buys me audio gear, I get deals on things, so she wouldn't know what to do to not pay retail, I can't believe this still!!

H - Oh yeah I drilled that 1098, I have shown her every picture I can find of the thing too, she REALLY REALLY likes it, she likes the color and the display, not too fond of the price, but eh, you get what you pay for. All I talk about is 1098 this, 1098 that, etc All she talks about is boobs this, boobs that, aren't I lucky :P hehe
