the thing don't even power up. the system works fine ,just no remote thats a real pain in the butt. are people having trouble with this. will bring back to dealer tomorrow,for replacement

I assume you've swapped out the batteries? There's also a reset button on the back that you should press with a toothpick etc. -
I had the same problem after swapping batteries. Resetting the remote solved the problem but I aso lost commands learned and the test assigned to buttons. The funny thing is that the 2nd time I swapped batteries I did not have any problem.

I have to say, I've had this remote since Jan. and I am still on the original set of batteries. I have done extensive programming with it and it is my primary remote. I even use the light feature all the time at night.

The remote for my SSP-25 is not working correctly anymore. No matter which button you press, it ends up selecting "AV4" for an input. This started all of a sudden. I tried new batteries, etc but no luck. Any ideas? -
A couple of nights ago, I was trying to quickly turn down the volume of the RDC-7 via the remote control without completely muting the sound. I mashed the volume "down" button quite few times in sequence and then found the RDC-7 wouldn't respond to any remote commands. It still worked fine...24 October 2002, 15:41 Thursday -
